Philosophy

The philosophy of the Computer Engineering programme is focused on producing graduates who are producers rather than mere consumers and technicians of knowledge economy. After graduation, they become functional computer engineers in industries, scholars in academia, and successful entrepreneurs in all aspects of computer engineering. Therefore, the programme would contribute effectively and sufficiently to the knowledge economy by putting in place curriculum that meets these challenges in Computer Engineering.

The objectives of the programme include, to:

  • produce manpower for private and public sectors of the economy as well as job creation.
  • deploy curriculum that covers broad and dynamic computer engineering principles, for various computer skill acquisition;
  • produce graduates who are exposed to extensive and appropriate lab experiments and practical work experience;
  • produce graduates who are equipped in design, implementation, maintenance of computer and embedded systems;
